Summer 2006: Played for the San Luis Obispo Blues of the California Collegiate League...helped lead his team to the NBC World Series...allowed two hits and struck out two over 2.1 innings at the tournament. NCAA Tournament: Was on the postseason roster, but did not make an appearance. SLC Tournament: Was on the postseason roster, but did not make an appearance. 2006: 0-0, 7.13 ERA...appeared in 18 games, all out of the bullpen...struck out 12 in 17.2 innings...fanned a season-best two hitters on four different occasions...made his UTA debut in the series finale against Louisiana Tech on opening weekend...did not allow a hit over 1.2 innings against Hawai[apos]i...pitched a hitless inning against Nicholls State...pitched a perfect inning and struck out one against TCU. Prior to UTA: Came to UTA after playing two seasons at North Central College...played his prep ball at Irving High School...two-time first team all-district selection...named team MVP...voted most improved...four-years perfect attendance...recipient of Excellence in Health and Excellence in Science awards.
