Prior to UTA:
Comes to UTA as a walk-on from Mountain View College in Dallas...led team in blocked shots in 2009-10...attended Brigham Young out of high school but did not play basketball.
Personal:
Born Oct. 10, 1985...son of Sam and Leslie Francis...completed a two-year Mormon Mission in Spokane, Wash., during his time at BYU...home schooled during high school years...also played soccer and ran cross country...an all-conference all-academic team member last year at Mountain View.
