Placed 14th at the Southland Conference Championships in the long jump with a jump of 6.70m... qualified for the conference meet at the Varsity Apartments Shocker with a fourth place finish in the long jump after his mark of 6.70m... also ran the 200m dash at the Texas Tech Invitational (23.90) and Varsity Apartment Shocker (23.60).
Outdoor: Did not compete.
Prior to UTA
Elahi comes to UT Arlington from Sam Houston HS where he was a two-year letter winner in track and field... ranked 57th in the nation in 2009 in the long jump... career best in the long jump was 22-6... career best split time in 4x100 was 10.2 at the Texas Relays... helped lead the 4X400 relay to a first place finish in district... was a 2009 academic award winner... ran summer track with the Arlington Flyers.
