Competed in only one meet during his first season... placed 44th at the UT Arlington Season Opener with a time of 24:52.20.

Earned two letters in track and two in cross country... regional qualifier in 2006 and 2007... ran personal bests in cross country in the mile (4:38) and two mile (10:47).
