After her storied career as a Lady Maverick came to a close in March 2018, Rebekah VanDijk joined the UTA coaching staff as a Student Coach.

VanDijk, a native of Nazareth, Texas, set the all-time program record with 1,117 rebounds in her career and finished third in scoring with 1,676 points.

VanDijk was a four-time selection to the Sun Belt's All-Conference squads, twice to the first team. She graduated in three years with her Bachelor's degree, and continues her pursuit of her Master's degree at UTA.

Became first player in UTA history to record more than 1,000 points and rebounds in a career ... Finished first in UTA history in rebounds (1,117), third in scoring (1,676), second in field-goals made (661) and second in blocked shots (203) ... Member of Sun Belt Conference leadership team ... UTA SAAC Leadership Team ... Traveled to Athletes in Action Leadership Academy in 2017 ... Led UTA in scoring average, blocked shots, rebounding average and field goal percentage all four seasons at UTA. 

As A Junior (2016-17)

17th player to join UTA's 1,000-point club (achieved at South Alabama on Jan. 12). ... Third in the Sun Belt in scoring (15.5) and rebounding (8.8), lone player in conference to be in top three in both categories (both team highs) ... Scored in double figures in the first 21 games of the season and 29 of the 31 games played (all starts) ... Posted season-high of 34 points against Seton Hall (14-19 shooting) in SHU Thanksgiving Classic championship game, was named tournament MVP. Effort earned VanDijk the College Sports Madness Mid-Major Player of the Week award as well as SBC Player of the Week ... Achieved 30th career double-double against Texas Tech, finished season with 12 and 37 for her career. 

As A Sophomore (2015-16)
>> Sun Belt All-Conference Second Team

Led the Lady Mavs with 12.2 points and 8.9 rebounds per game … Second in the SBC with 51 blocks, tied for eighth in UTA single-season history … Became the fifth player in UTA history to record over 100 blocks in her career … Recorded 10 double-doubles … Scored a career-high 33 points on the way to her first Sun Belt Student-Athlete of the Week award in the final week of the season as she averaged 21.0 points over three games. The 33-point game was the tied for the second most scored in the Sun Belt and tied for sixth most in UTA single-game history … Led the SBC with 3.4 offensive rebounds per game, totaling 102 for the season.

Led NCAA Division I freshmen with 15 double-doubles … One of two players in the SBC to average a double-double … Started all 30 games, scoring 13.0 points per game … 53.9 field goal percentage was 21st in the nation, first in the Sun Belt and third in UTA single-season history … 23rd in the nation in rebounds per game … 309 rebounds and 10.3 rebounds per game are seventh in single-season history … Season-high 20 points scored vs. ULM on Jan. 22, season-high 16 rebounds vs. Wichita State on Nov. 22.
