Scott Imes

Scott Imes joined the UTA women’s basketball staff as the Director of Basketball Operations in August of 2015.

Originally from Indiana, Imes spent the last seven years as a varsity assistant basketball coach and social studies teacher at various high schools in the state of Texas including stops at Frisco Centennial, Garland Naaman Forest, and Amarillo Palo Duro. Coach Imes also spent two years as an assistant at Bloomington North High School in Bloomington, Ind. where he was part of a staff that developed future McDonald’s All-American Ray McCallum Jr.

Prior to his time at Bloomington North, Imes spent time as a student assistant at Texas Tech University for head coach Bob Knight. In addition to coaching, in 2009 Imes went overseas and was charged with running intramural sports leagues in Iraq for a Marine military base.

Coach Imes received his undergraduate degree in Kinesiology from Indiana University and his Master’s in Public Administration from UT Arlington.

Imes and his wife, Sara, are the proud parents of their daughter Ava.
