KaeLynn Boyd, a two-time WBCA Thirty Under 30 List nominee (2023 & 2024), enters her fifth season with the Lady Mavs, including her third campaign as an assistant coach after being promoted on June 1, 2022.
Â
During the 2023-24 season, Boyd was key to the Lady Mavs success, helping them to their best regular season and tournament finish in the Western Athletic Conference.

Before coming to Arlington, Boyd served as an assistant coach at Jacksonville College (2019-20) in Jacksonville, Texas, and Arkansas-Fort Smith (2018-19). She also led the St. Helena High School program from 2016-18, where she guided the team to its first playoff season in decades.
Boyd played three seasons for UTRGV before finishing her collegiate playing career and graduating from Southeastern Louisiana in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology.

The New Orleans native started 60 games and racked up 778 points, 305 rebounds, 297 assists, 132 steals and knocked down 81 triples during her time at UTRGV and Southeastern. Boyd spent the 2018 season playing professionally overseas for K.B. Tirana in Albania.
