Postgame Notes
- UT Arlington dropped to 1-1 on the season, heading into Wednesday's road game at Florida Gulf Coast University (0-1).
- Minnesota improved to 2-0 on the season. The Golden Gophers return to action Wednesday (Nov. 16) at home against Mount St. Mary's.
- Minnesota and UT Arlington share five common opponents this season: Louisiana, Mount St. Mary's, Arkansas, Georgia Southern and Arkansas State.
- Senior Faith Pope registered 3 blocks in the game, setting a new high for his UTA career. His previous high was two against Sul Ross last season. He had all 3 blocks in the first half.
- UTA moved to 1-1 the last two seasons against the Big Ten Conference. The Mavericks defeated Ohio State 73-68 last season in Columbus.
- Jalen Jones finished with a team-high17 points. He has now scored in double figures in five straight games and seven of his last eight, dating back to last season.
- Jorge Bilbao fouled out for only the fifth time in his 4-year career. He surpassed the 5-foul limit twice as a sophomore and junior.
- Junior guard Erick Neal handed out five assists in the game, giving te Dallas native 310 in his career at UTA. That figure places him in seventh on the school's list for career assists. He passed Brady Dawkins and Willie Brand on the career listings.
