Postgame Quotes
UTA coach Krista Gerlich
Gerlich on her team's performance
"I am proud of our kids for coming in and taking care of business. The last seven minutes were really ugly, but the other 33 we did a really nice job and kind of fell off the wagon there."
Gerlich on the response to a slow start
"It was important. Our kids did a good job in not panicing. We had our heads in the clouds the first few minutes of the game and settled in and getting stops and getting post touches. We went to a zone and that helped a little bit against them."
Gerlich on the play of Rebekah VanDijk
"I am really proud of her and I was really proud that our kids recognized that we could go inside to her. That is our biggest weapon right now and we have to give her post touches. She did a nice job through a lot of contact in getting a double-double."
Gerlich on the sweep of the two-game road trip
"Anytime you are on the road you want to win as many as you can. You want to protect home court. We know we can win on the road, and they have done a good job of doing that. We have fewer distractions when we are on the road and that helps so we have to take care of business at home."
