o Rohrbaugh helped the Mavericks strike first on the board with a line drive up the middle to score Phil Berthiaume with one out in the bottom of the first and extended his hitting streak from four to five games. o Rohrbaugh collected his third multi-hit game with a line drive centerfield.
• Junior RJ Williams, making his 104th career start, has reached base safely in 86 of his 104 career starts.
• LHP Junior Adam Meyer made his fourth start and 13th appearance overall for the Mavericks.
o Meyer sat down the Horned Frogs in order in the top of the first for the Mavericks home opener.
o Meyer held TCU hitless until the top of the third with a single up the middle.
o Meyer induced a ground-ball double play to strand the potential tying run in the top of the third keeping the Mavericks on top.
• The Mavericks offense was started with a one out single by Junior Phi Berthiaume in the bottom of the first.
o With a full-count, Berthiaume reached on an error to second base with two outs in the bottom of the fifth inning.
o Berthiaume got his second hit of the night with a leadoff single. It is his second multi-hit game of the 2017 season.
• Senior Brady Cox drove in Omar Salinas to put the Mavericks on top 2-0 in the top of the first.
o Cox extends his hitting streak to three games.
o Cox loaded the bases in the eighth with a line drive to right field for his second multi-hit game of the season.
• Sophomore pitcher Dylan Schneider made his fourth appearance for the 2017 season and 24th overall in the top of the fourth after Meyer left with one out on the board.
• Junior pitcher Jake Wilcox made his third appearance for the 2017 season and 36th overall with two outs in the top of the seventh inning, the game tied 2-2.
• Junior pitcher Jordon West enters the top of the seventh with two outs and strands two runners to keep the game tied 2-2.
• Senior Pitcher Austin Gardner made his second appearance of the 2017 season and 14th overall with one out in the top of the ninth inning.
