UTA jumped out to a 6-0 lead before Georgia Southern quickly called a timeout. This time it didn't help the Eagles as the Mavs continued to pour it on, increasing their lead to 9-1. At one point the Eagles cut the lead from 10 all the way down to five points at 21-16, but Stancliff went on to set up her teammate Walp for consecutive kills to go up 23-16.
