ARLINGTON, Texas - The UT Arlington baseball team picked up its fifth consecutive win with a 5-2 win over Wichita State in its second game of the UTA Classic on Saturday.

Both Connor Aube and Andrew Miller went 2-for-4 from the plate in the win. The Mavs (5-2) got a combined three RBI from the pair.

Josh Minjarez went 2-for-3 and scored twice.

Kody Bullard only pitched 1.2 innings before leaving with an injury. Michael Wong came on to pitch 2.1 relief innings and pick up his first win of the season. Wong struck out one and didn't surrender any runs.

The game was scoreless until the bottom of the third inning. Minjarez, Aube and Zac Cook all scored from second base with two outs to give the Mavericks a 3-0 lead.

Anthony Dominguez hit his second home run of the season in the bottom of the fourth to push UTA's lead to 4-0.

Wichita State (1-5) got on the board with a pair of runs in the top of the seventh to cut the deficit in half, but that was as close as the Shockers would get.

Miller gave UTA an insurance run when he hit an RBI single in the bottom of the seventh that brought Minjarez home.

The Mavs return to the field on Sunday for a doubleheader. UTA opens with Wichita State at 11 a.m. before closing out the UTA Classic against Stephen F. Austin at 3 p.m.
