- UTA is coming off a big 8-1 midweek win over Sam Houston where the Mavericks notched 8 runs off 15 hits.
- Senior KJ Murphy remained hot at the plate and finished 3-4 with three RBI in the Sam Houston game.
- The third baseman continues to lead UTA with a .381 batting average and has touched base 46 times over 84 at-bats with 12 walks.
- Sophomore Reagan Hukill had herself a day going 3-4 with a solo home run – making that her fourth long ball this season – joined by Kenedy Hines who also notched three hits.
- Junior Laura Henriksen earned the win Wednesday and threw four innings against the Bearkats allowing just two hits.
- The right hander leads the pitching staff with a 2.94 ERA over the course of 33.2 innings pitched.
