ARLINGTON, Texas – The UT Arlington softball team will face North Texas for the third time this season Wednesday as this is the second time the Mavericks will welcome the Mean Green to Allan Saxe Field.

UTA NOTES

• The last time the Mavs welcomed North Texas to Allan Saxe Field was part of the Boerner Invitational this season where UTA topped the Mean Green 2-0.
• The latest matchup between the two teams was in Denton (Mar. 17) where the Mavericks came up just short 5-4.
• The Mavericks are coming off a Sun Belt series win over Georgia State where UTA bounced back after dropping the first game of the series 2-0.
• Senior KJ Murphy raised her batting average .23 points over the weekend with a team-high .398. and finished 5-7 over the weekend with 2 RBI and 1 home run - making that her fourth long ball this season.
• The Baytown native has notched 22 RBI on the year, 17 walks, 8 doubles and has a .479 on-base percentage.
• Jessica Carreon went 3-9 over the week and sits on a current .350 average at the plate with a .429 on-base percentage.
• Senior Jojo Valencia leads the pitching staff with a 2.21 ERA (50.2 IP, 30 SO) on the season after tabbing a 0.70 ERA across 10 innings pitched over the weekend.

•  The Mean Green is coming off a 3-0 weekend after sweeping Arkansas - Pine Bluff.
• Senior Hope Trautwein had quite the performance in Sunday's contest as she threw North Texas' first-ever perfect game, striking out all 21 batters faced.
• Trautwein leads the Mean Green's pitching rotation with 66 innings pitched, 123 strike outs and a 1.70 ERA on the season.
• Graduate student Tuesday DerMargosian has a team-high batting average of .389 while junior Tayla Evans follows closely with a .316 average.
• Infielder Evans leads North Texas with 20 RBI, 6 home runs, 8 doubles – tied with Molly Rainey- and a .711 slugging percentage across all 28 games played.
