NEW ORLEANS – The 2nd-seeded UT Arlington women's basketball team will begin its 2022 Sun Belt Conference Tournament with a quarterfinal matchup against the winner of No. 7 Georgia Southern and No. 10 Georgia State on Friday, Mar. 4, at 7:30 p.m. from the Pensacola Bay Center in Pensacola, Fla.
The Lady Mavs come in at 17-7 overall and 11-4 in the Sun Belt. They are 1-1 this year against their potential opponents, defeating Georgia State on Jan. 13, 82-68, but falling to Georgia Southern, 64-63, on Jan. 15. Under second year head coach
Shereka Wright, the Lady Mavs are led by
Starr Jacobs with 20.3 points per game and
Terryn Milton with 11.9 points and 4.4 assists per game.

Individual ticket prices range from $15 to $60 for adults and $5 to $30 for children 12 years and younger, and are available through
Ticketmaster.
Additionally, ticket booklets to all sessions of the men's and women's tournament (which will be contested Mar. 2-7) are available through
Ticketmaster and range in price from $30 to $120 (for children) to $100 to $300 (for adults).
With a win on Friday, UTA would advance to the semifinals on Sunday, Mar. 6, at 2 p.m. from the Pensacola Bay Center.
The Sun Belt postseason awards will be released on Monday, Feb. 28, and a complete preview heading into the conference tournament will be posted on UTAMavs.com on Tuesday, Mar. 1.
