Heading into Wednesday, the Bearkats lead the overall series record with the Mavericks 55-46. The most recent matchup between the two team came back in late February of this season at McNeese's Evangeline Bank and Trust II Invitational where UTA defeated Sam Houston 8-5.

- Freshman outfielder Aaliyah White leads the Mavericks with a .385 batting average on the year. Across 21 games started this season White has knocked 20 hits - second highest on the team.
- Corner infielders Meagan Smith and KJ Murphy share a team-best 15 RBI and 23 hits apiece. Smith paces the squad with 5 home runs so far this year.
- Freshman Kaylee Cavazos holds a .364 batting average in conference play alone. She has started in four Sun Belt matches for UTA with two home runs and four RBI.
- The Mavs are ranked 6th in batting average (.266), slugging percentage (.374) and on base percentage (.354) in SBC play alone.
- On the mound, freshman pitcher Jessica Adams (7-9) has appeared in 22 games for the Mavericks with 97.2 innings pitched. The right-hander has recorded 49 strike outs, 8 complete games and 2 saves this season.
