SERIES HISTORY
Heading into Tuesday, the Mavericks lead the all-time record between the Ladyjacks, 54-37. The most recent matchup was back in March of 2021 where UTA took an 0-2 loss to SFA in Nacogdoches, Texas.

UTA NOTES (6-7)

• The Mavericks sit on an overall record of 6-7 after going 2-1 at McNeese's Tournament a week ago where the squad picked up wins from Manhattan and Sam Houston.
• A total of seven Mavs currently hold a .300 batting average or higher as freshman Aaliyah White leads the team with a .500 average and a .560 on-base percentage over nine games started.
• Across all 13 games, graduate student KJ Murphy trails White closely with a .400 batting average – second-highest of the Mavs - and 10 RBI off 16 hits.
• Second baseman Jessica Carreon holds a .361 average at the plate with 13 hits.
• Freshman Jessica Adams (4-4) leads the Maverick pitching staff with an ERA of 3.28 with 24 strike outs over 47 innings pitched.

• The Ladyjacks have had a rough start to the 2022 season as the team holds an overall record of 5-12.
• Junior Shaylon Govan has a team-high batting average of .514 so far this season with 7 home runs, 16 RBI and 19 hits.
• Fellow junior Sydnee Hebert has a .281 batting average – second-best of the Ladyjacks – with a .438 slugging percentage and a .521 on-base percentage.
• In the circle for SFA, Kassidy Wilbur has 54.1 innings pitched with a 3.89 ERA. The senior has struck out 75 batters this season with a 3-7 record.

UTA will welcome South Alabama for its first Sun Belt Conference series this Friday through Sunday (Mar. 11-13) at Allan Saxe Field.
