ARLINGTON, Texas – The UT Arlington softball team (22-22, 12-12 SBC) will wrap up its regular season as the Mavericks are set to welcome Texas State to Allan Saxe Field with the first game of the three-game series scheduled to begin Thursday, May 5 at 6:00 p.m.

SERIES HISTORY
Texas State leads the overall series with the Mavericks 68-63 with the most recent matchup coming from the Sun Belt Conference Tournament in Troy, Alabama a season ago where the Mavs took a 0-4 loss form the Bobcats. In its last series matchup, UTA unfortunately dropped all three games of the series to Texas State in San Marcos, Texas.
UTA NOTES (22-22) (12-12, SBC)
- The UT Arlington softball team is coming off a 1-2 weekend at App State as the Mavericks moved onto a 12-12 record in conference and an overall record of 22-22.
- Morgan Rios continues to provide a big bat in UTA's lineup as the graduate student leads the team with a .326 batting average. Rios currently has the 2nd-most RBI on the squad with 25.
- KJ Murphy is one of three Mavs who currently have a .300 batting average or higher. Murphy sits on a .301 average with a team-high of 41 hits. The third baseman is currently tied with senior Meagan Smith with the most RBI on the team with 26.
- Freshman Jessica Adams has been UTA's ace in the circle this year as she posts a 3.25 ERA - best of the Mavs. Adams has thrown 13 complete games with 168 innings of work.

- Texas State is coming off a series sweep over Troy last weekend as the Bobcats improve their conference record to 16-8.
- Senior catcher Cat Crenek leads the squad with a .365 batting average on the season.
- Junior infielder Sara Vanderford has started all 41 games for the Bobcats as she paces the lineup with 35 RBI, 7 home runs, 12 doubles, 27 walks with a .283 batting average.
- Pitcher Jessica Mullins has been Texas State's ace in the circle this year as she sophomore leads the pitching rotation with 200.1 innings of work. The righty sits on a 23-11 record and a low 1.85 ERA. Mullins has tossed 18 complete games and 223 strike outs.

The Mavericks will look ahead to the Sun Belt Conference Tournament that is set to begin Wednesday, May 11 through Saturday, May 14 in Mobile, Alabama.
