SERIES HISTORY
Heading into Wednesday's matchup, Oklahoma State leads the overall series record with UTA, 18-8. However, the Mavericks have won 3 of the last 4 matchups with the Cowgirls as the most recent victory (3-1) came in March of 2022 at Allan Saxe Field.
UTA NOTES (16-19)
- The Mavericks are fresh off a conference series win at Stephen F. Austin (4/9-10) as UTA has now won back-to-back series against the top 2 teams in the WAC.
- Sophie Wideman led the Mavs to a 3-2 extra-inning win, clinching the series with the Lumberjacks after belting a solo shot in the top of the eighth.
- Three Mavericks finished with five hits on the series as junior Morgan Westbrook hit .556, coming away with two RBI and a .556 slugging percentage.
- Freshman Marley Neises continues to lead UTA's offense with a .354 batting average. The outfielder has starter in 28 games for the Mavs with 29 hits, 15 RBI and three home runs. Neises also leads the team with a .537 slugging percentage.
- Jessica Adams holds the fourth best ERA in the WAC with a 2.11. The sophomore has appeared in 28 games for the Mavericks and has tossed over 116 innings of work. With seven complete games to her name, Adams has 47 strike outs.
- Junior Gracie Bumpurs has been the other half of head coach Kara Dill's staff as Bumpurs has appeared in 25 games for UTA this season. The righty has 79 innings, coming away with 28 strike outs.
KNOW YOUR OPPONENT | #3 OKLAHOMA STATE (35-3)
- Oklahoma State sits on an impressive 35-3 overall record under head coach Kenny Gajewski. The Cowgirls are 6-0 in Big 12 play after sweeping Kansas over the weekend.
- Infielder Rachel Becker is batting .500 on the year with a team-high of 52 hits, 36 walks and 13 doubles. The freshman also leads the Cowgirls with a .704 slugging percentage.
- Graduate student Kiley Naomi holds the second-best batting average of .383 and 44 RBI as the second team All-Big 12 selection has started in all 38 games for OSU this year.
- On the mound, redshirt senior Kelly Maxwell has been a key force in head coach Kenny Gajewski's pitching rotation, throwing 85 innings with a low 1.48 ERA. The lefty leads with 143 strike outs, six complete games and limits opponents to a .128 batting average.
- Senior Lexi Kilfoyl trails Maxwell closely with a 1.62 ERA across 69 innings of work. Kilfoyl has 16 wins so far this season and just 16 earned runs.

UTA will be back at Allan Saxe Field this weekend for a three-game conference series as the Mavericks will host the Wildcats of Abilene Christian beginning Friday, Apr. 14 through Saturday, Apr. 15.
