ARLINGTON, TEXAS – Brianna Ford has been named the Western Athletic Conference Player of the Week, while Mollie Blank has claimed the Setter of the Week honors, league officials announced today.

It is the fourth time the graduate has claimed the award this season, and the seventh time she has claimed the award in her career.
 
The Amarillo, Texas native put together a fantastic week to help the Mavs continue conference play undefeated with 35 kills while holding a hitting percentage of .467 over the course of the week. In six sets, Ford had 22 digs and ten total blocks, and scored 40 points (6.67 per set).
 
SOTW
For the fourth time in her career, and for the second time this season, Mollie Blank claimed Setter of the Week. Blank put together 75 assists (12.5 per set), 16 digs, two kills and two total blocks throughout last week's straight-set victories.
 
Blank, a graduate from Mansfield, Texas, helped orchestrate the Mavericks to a .385 hitting percentage over two games last week, which is the highest percentage in a two-game span this season. 
 
"Mollie and Bri had a fantastic week executing at a very high level," UTA head coach J.T. Wenger said. "Mollie composed a very deliberate offense which allowed our attackers to be successful. Bri took full advantage of her opportunities and terminated at an incredible clip."
