Mavs Sweep Utah Tech For First Undefeated Conference Record Since 1992

ST. GEORGE, UTAH –The UT Arlington volleyball team (26-2,16-0 WAC) finished the regular season undefeated in conference play with a 3-0 sweep (25-23, 25-18, 25-21) over the Utah Tech Trailblazers (15-11, 9-7 WAC) this Saturday at the Burns Arena. 
 
The win marked the first time since 1992 that the Mavs have gone undefeated in conference play, and just the eleventh time overall the squad has finished undefeated in program history.

The Mavs were able to down the Trailblazers behind a strong attack led by Brianna Ford, the Amarillo, Texas native, who had a double-double with 17 kills and 10 digs in the sweep. Additionally, freshman Sjakkie Donkers poured in 11 kills and 12 digs for her fourth double-double of the season.
 
Paige Reagor had a solid outing with nine kills and eight blocks while fellow middle blocker Sophie Ocampo had four kills, two digs and a block.
 
Mollie Blank attributed 39 assists in the win while picking up 15 digs and two kills. Evyn Snook played for three sets and racked in six kills. Samantha Glenn led the team in digs with 17 and also pitched in four assists.
 
THOUGHTS FROM COACH
"Excellent win in the final regular season match," said head coach J.T. Wenger. "We played clean volleyball and executed at a high level. Reagor performed well in that third set and gave us a boost when we were down early, and Glenn had a solid defensive match keeping us in play."
