ARLINGTON, TEXAS –The UT Arlington volleyball team (27-2,16-0 WAC) advanced to the semifinals of the WAC volleyball tournament with a 3-0 sweep (25-17, 25-18, 25-14) over the Abilene Christian Wildcats (10-18, 5-11 WAC) this Thursday at the College Park Center.
The Mavs were able to down the Wildcats behind a dominant hitting night with a .345 hitting percentage, and .443 kill percentage.
Brianna Ford led the team in kills with 12 on the night and put together six digs and three total blocks.
Evyn Snook came in during the second set and had a terrific match with five kills on only seven attacks for a percentage of .714.
Samantha Glenn had a strong defensive game with 22 digs, her second most amount in match this season, while
Paige Reagor produced four total blocks and seven kills behind a .583 hitting mark.
Sjakkie Donkers had a solid outing with eight digs and six kills, and
Mollie Blank had 26 assists and fell just one dig shy of a double-double.

"A strong win to start the tournamnet," said head coach
J.T. Wenger. "We showed some resiliency in that second set after going down, and our serve and pass clicked well after we started to get going. The crowd was amazing tonight, and the team fed off of that."

The first-seeded Mavs play in the semifinals 2024 WAC volleyball tournament against the fifth-seeded California Baptist Lancers at 6 p.m. CT. at the College Park Center in Arlington, Texas.
