ARLINGTON, Texas – The UT Arlington softball team will round out regular season play with a three-game series against Seattle U beginning with a doubleheader on Friday, May 3 at 3 p.m. from Allan Saxe Field.
The weekend's schedule was originally slated for a 4 p.m. start for Friday's doubleheader but expected inclement weather has shifted both games up one hour. Saturday's series finale is as scheduled.

UTA NOTES (20-30, 10-12)
- The Mavericks are looking to snap its four-game losing streak with its final home stand against the Redhawks.
- In its three-game series at Utah Tech last weekend, UTA's offense was led by Camille Corona who produced yet another multi-hit contest with a 3-4 performance at the plate. The fifth year went 7-10 on the weekend with two RBI – which came from a clutch RBI-double in the top of the sixth that tied things up for UTA, 8-8.
- Now, Corona is batting .421 overall with a .471 average in WAC play alone. Against conference opponents, the standout leads with a .532 on base percentage, 10 walks, 16 runs scored and 32 hits.
- Freshman Kaitlyn Sailor has had a tremendous freshman campaign with a whopping 10 doubles on the year, a .300 batting average, 25 RBI and a .500 slugging percentage.
- Fifth year Lindsey Franklin holds a team-high 30 RBI, 18 walks and seven home runs. With 43 hits on the year, the veteran is batting .312.
- In conference play alone, senior pitcher Gracie Bumpurs posts a low 2.05 ERA with three wins. The right-hander has collected 19 strike outs, two shutouts, four complete games and a .294 opponent batting average.
KNOW YOUR OPPONENT | SEATTLE U REDHAWKS (20-29, 12-11)
- The Redhawks are coming off a tough loss to #7 Stanford this past Monday with a final score of 5-3. Now, Seattle U sits on an overall record of 20-29.
- Currently, SU ranks 5th in the WAC standings with a 12-11 record as the program has picked up series wins over Abilene Christian, Stephen F. Austin, Utah Tech, and Southern Utah.
- As a team, the Redhawk offense is batting .303 as sophomore Taylor Fitch leads the way with a .377 batting average. The infielder has a team-high seven home runs, 17 doubles, 98 total bases and a .636 slugging percentage.
- Sydney Frankenberger leads the pack in hits (60) and runs scored (35) all while batting .366. So far this season, the senior has racked up 20 multi-hit contest -most on the team.
- In conference play alone, Fitch has recorded 25 RBI off 33 hits, five home runs, a .792 slugging percentage, and a .429 batting average.
- Seattle U is made up of a seven-player pitching staff with a 3.90 ERA, holding opponents to a sub-3.00 ERA. Although junior Nicola Simpson leads with a 3.38 ERA, Stefanie Madrigal has spent the most time in the circle for the Redhawks with 103 innings pitched. The senior leads with 11 wins, eight complete games and 54 strike outs.

The Mavericks will prepare for the WAC Tournament that is scheduled to begin with the opening round on Wednesday, May 8 through Saturday, May 11 from Logan Field in Seattle.
