SPRINGFIELD, MISSOURI - The UT Arlington volleyball team defeated the Saint Louis Billikens in a 3-0 sweep (26-24) (25-12) (25-12) in the squad's second match of the Dr. Mary Jo Wynn Invitational this Friday. The win marks the squads' fourth-consecutive sweep, and seventh sweep of the season. With the win against the Billikens, the Mavericks improved to 8-0 on the season for the first time in the program's storied 51-year history.
In the dominant win, the Mavericks put together 40 kills in the sweep, which marks the squad fourth-straight game of at least 40 kills.
Brianna Ford led the team with 12, Cansu Günaydin accounted for nine while
Paige Reagor and
Sjakkie Donkers each had seven kills.
The squad's .310 hitting percentage is the third-highest in a game in the early season. Reagor led the team with an outstanding .500 percentage and moved her season average to .425, which leads the Western Athletic Conference and ranks 34th in the nation.
Mollie Blank contributed 31 of the 38 assists in the win, making it her fifth game with at lest 30 assists on the season.

"Great team win," said head coach
J.T. Wenger. "We were happy to get the set one victory after a back-and-forth battle. We executed very well in sets two and three both offensively and defensively and Blank put our hitters in great situations all night and helped lead our team to generate a high percentage attack."
NEXT UP
The Mavericks finish the Dr. Mary Jo Wynn Invitational tomorrow at 10 a.m. against the Weber State Wildcats. A victory in tomorrow's match will move the teams undefeated streak to nine games.
