ARLINGTON, Texas – UT Arlington men's basketball announced Wednesday that head coach
KT Turner has signed Denton Guyer standout G Jordan Lowery.
Lowery is rated a four-star prospect by
ESPN and a three-star prospect by
247Sports,
247Sports Composite,
On3 and
Rivals. He is also ranked a top-250 player nationally by On3 (204
th) and the 27
th-ranked point guard nationally.
Lowery was named All-Area Co-Most Valuable Player by the
Denton Record-Chronicle. While helping lead Guyer to its first state championship and District 5-6A title, he averaged 16.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.0 steals per game en route to the District 5-6A's Defensive MVP award, a TABC all-state nod and state all-tournament honors.
The Texas state champion spent his junior season playing at North Carolina prep school Winston Salem Christian. He chose to attend UTA over offers from Cal, East Carolina, Kansas State, Missouri, NC State, Oklahoma State, Saint Louis, Seton Hall, SMU, TCU and Wichita State, per
