LUBBOCK, Texas - The UT Arlington softball team prepares for No. 12 Texas Tech on Wednesday, Apr. 23 for the Mavericks' final midweek contest of the season.

Currently, UTA sits on an overall record of 22-19 as the Mavs look to get back in the win column following a conference series loss to Grand Canyon. 

The Red Raiders are coming off a Big12 series win over No. 12/13 Arizona, improving to an overall record of 36-10. Texas Tech was originally scheduled to face North Texas on Tuesday, Apr. 22 but the contest has been canceled.

UTA NOTES

• UTA's Kailee Bautista continues to pace the Maverick lineup with a .319 overall batting average. The returners has started in all 41 games this season for the Mavs. splitting her time at designated player and catcher. Bautista leads in hits (38), doubles (12), RBI (22), total bases (62), walks (25), slugging percentage (.521) and on-base percentage (.461).
• Transfer Dee McClarity has climbed in the batting average rankings with a .278 average - second-best on the team. The junior shares a team-high of five home runs on the year with 22 hits, 16 RBI, 43 total bases and 23 walks.
• In conference play alone, sophomore Kaitlyn Sailor holds a .378 batting average across 11 starts. Sailor is one of four Mavericks who currently sit on a .300 average or higher.
• McClarity leads the squad with 29 total bases and 12 walks while Bautista leads in hits (17).
• Now, UTA resides in 6th in the WAC standings at an overall record of 22-19 and 8-10 in conference play. The Mavs rank high in the following categories across the conference: home runs (32), doubles (57), walks (137), stolen bases (38) and ERA (4.31).

ON DECK
The Mavericks will head to Utah for their conference series with Southern Utah on Saturday, Apr. 26 through Sunday, Apr. 27.
