FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – UT Arlington was limited to two hits Saturday afternoon in a 9-0 loss at Arkansas.
Arkansas broke through in the second inning, scoring two runs on four hits. Nolan Souza delivered an RBI single before Damian Ruiz added another run-scoring single to give the Razorbacks a 2-0 lead.
The decisive inning came in the third. After a leadoff single and another base hit, Arkansas plated four runs on four hits. Zack Stewart lifted a sacrifice fly to score one, and Maika Niu followed with a three-run home run to left field, extending the lead to 6-0.
The Razorbacks added three more in the eighth inning. With two outs and two on, Camden Kozeal homered down the right-field line, pushing the margin to 9-0.
UT Arlington was held to a double from
Preston Knott and a single from
Austin Phillips.
