Box Score SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The UT Arlington softball team picked up an 11-4 win over UTSA on Sunday at Roadrunner Field, using four home runs and a strong relief outing to pull away from the Roadrunners.
The Mavericks came out hot in the top of the first, putting up four runs to grab early control. UTA kept the pressure on with another two-run frame in the second to build a 6-2 advantage.
UTSA answered with two runs in the bottom of the second to cut the deficit to 6-4, but UTA's pitching settled in and the Mavericks' bats delivered separation in the middle innings. UTA broke the game open with a three-run fourth, then tacked on single runs in the fifth and seventh to finish off the 11-4 decision.
Offensively,Â
Mia McNulty powered the Mavericks with a pair of home runs and four RBIs, finishing 2-for-4 with two runs scored.Â
Valeria Feeney went 2-for-3 with a double, a home run and two RBIs, whileÂ
Peyton Holland added a home run and three RBIs.Â
Kaylee Schweitzer turned in a 3-for-4 day with an RBI, andÂ
Taylor Minor scored twice while going 2-for-4 with a double.

Maddie Furniss earned the win after firing 3.1 scoreless innings in relief, allowing just two hits with three strikeouts to close out the victory.
