WACO, TX – The UT Arlington Mavericks softball team returns to the road this week, traveling to Waco for a midweek matchup against Big 12 opponent Baylor. First pitch is set for Tuesday, March 24 at 6:30 p.m. at Getterman Stadium.
The Mavericks enter the contest following their opening weekend of conference play, where they secured a 2-1 series over Abilene Christian in Abilene at Poly Wells Field.

- UTA went 2-1 this past weekend at the Maverick Invitational, bringing their overall record to 13-15.
- Mia McNulty, Marley Neises and Kaitlyn Sailor each recorded home runs over the weekend.
- Freshman Valeria Feeney led the Mavericks at the plate, finishing with five hits, five RBI and two runs scored.
- The Mavericks rank first in the WAC in FIVE categories -- double plays (17), double plays per game (0.61), home runs (31), home runs per game (1.11) and scoring (6.68). The Mavericks also currently rank SEVENTH in the NATION in double plays per game.
- Peyton Holland ranks first in the WAC in assists (68) and assists per game (2.43). Holland also sits at fourth in home runs with six.
- While McNulty ranks first in the conference in home runs per game (.35), she ranks second in home runs with eight. She also ranks third in the WAC in runs per game (1.00).
- Dee McClarity also ranks first in the conference in walks per game (.74).
- Feeney ranks second in the WAC for Toughest to Strike Out (20.8) and third in triples per game (.12).
