Emily Hill

Emily Hill joined the UT Arlington volleyball coaching staff in January 2023.

Hill most recently spent two seasons at SMU as a graduate assistant coach, where she was responsible for training pin hitters and defensive specialists, keeping stats using DataVolley during matches and assisting with team travel and recruiting. She also served as a coach with Texas Advantage Volleyball beginning in June 2020.

Prior to entering the coaching ranks, Hill completed a record-breaking playing career at Texas Tech and Mississippi State from 2016-20. She finished second among all SEC freshmen with the Bulldogs, compiling 382 kills. She then joined the Red Raiders as a sophomore, where she filled out her collegiate resume with the fourth-most career kills and the fifth-most kills in a single season (491, 2019) in program history. She concluded her NCAA career with 1,640 kills and 1,093 digs, becoming one of four players at Texas Tech to surpass 1,000 in both categories. She was a two-time All-Big 12 selection, which included a first-team honor as a senior.

Following her collegiate career, Hill played professionally in Sweden for Hylte/Halmstad from January-May 2020, where she started every match after joining the team midseason.

Hill prepped at John H. Guyer in Denton, Texas, where she was named to the LonestarVolleyball.com All-State Team and PrepVolleyball.com All-American Watch List as a senior while also being ranked No. 52 on the PrepVolleyball.com National Senior Aces Top 100.
