Trava Davis will serve as a student assistant coach this year after playing the past four seasons for the Lady Mavs.
A very versatile player, she played mainly at outside hitter but also filled in at the setter position and was a fine blocker and outstadning defensive player. She finished with a .221 hitting percentage last year, was eighth in the Southland Conference in digs with 2.47 per set and was third on the team in total blocks.
Davis was a two-time Honorable Mention All-District player and team captain while at Bowie High School in Arlington where she also played under Lisa Love.
