SAN MARCOS, Texas - The Texas-Arlington women's tennis team defeated Texas State, 6-1, in Southland Conference play Saturday afternoon at the Texas State Tennis Center.

Texas-Arlington (4-7, 3-1 SLC) won all three doubles matches to garner the doubles point.

In singles play, the Lady Mavericks won five of the six matches in straight sets. Texas State (3-13, 1-4 SLC) was only able to win at the number two position.

The Lady Mavericks will be back in action Sunday, when they travel to take on Texas-San Antonio. First-serve is set for 10 a.m.
