Postgame Notes
- UTA bounced back from a two-game losing streak with its victory on Sunday to improve to 6-2 and match its best nonconference win count under Krista Gerlich (2014). The contest was an exhibition for Eastern New Mexico, who stepped out of Lone Star Conference (Division II) play.
- Rebekah VanDijk grabbed five rebounds to move into 10th in UTA all-time history with 644, surpassing Candice Champion (2005-09). Next up is Allison Gray (1980-84) at 647. VanDijk had a 16-point effort, all coming in the second half.
- Allyson Te'o, the lone four-year Lady Mav on the roster, tied a career high with six points in the game, the third time she's achieved the feat. All six of the points came at the charity stripe as she was 6-6.
- Shelby Richards had a season-high 11 points on 3-9 shooting, adding five from the charity stripe. Richards' team-high eight rebounds was also a season high for the junior transfer.
- UTA outscored the Greyhounds 26-8 in points off turnovers, holding a 27-6 turnover margin.
- Eastern New Mexico led for the first 11:04 of the game as they had a 10-6 lead after the first quarter. UTA would go on a 12-0 run to begin the second to take the lead for good.
- The Lady Mavericks continue the brief homestand on Sunday, Dec. 18 vs. Texas A&M-Commerce, also from the Lone Star Conference.
