- UTA improved to 15-4 overall and 8-1 in the Sun Belt. App State went to 8-12 and 3-6.
- Rebekah VanDijk secured her streak of posting double figures in all 19 games this season with 19. With her total, she surpassed Jeannie Curry (1982-85) for 14th in UTA all-time scoring record book. VanDijk also earned her 34th-career double-double and ninth of the season. She entered tied for fifth in NCAA active career leaders.
- UTA coach Krista Gerlich earned the 51st win of her UTA career, tying for fourth in program history for coaching wins with Cindy Salser (1976-79). Donna Capps holds the top spot with 119-career victories.
- UTA stretched its streak of forcing at least 20 turnovers to 14 of the last 15 games as ASU registered 24.
- VanDijk, notching four blocks, is within one of entering the Sun Belt's top-25 in career blocks. The junior has 131 in her career.
- Two others joined VanDijk in double figures. Ericka Mattingly finished with 12, while Aysia Evans posted 10 for her second double-digit performance against Mountaineers.
- UTA improved to 12-0 when leading after halftime, also 12-0 when heading into the final 10 minutes.
- UTA returns to College Park Center to begin a three-game homestand on Saturday at 2 p.m. against Texas State. UTA features a six-game home winning streak and are 8-1 at CPC this season.
