- UT Arlington improved to 4-0 for a second consecutive season after topping SMU 58-55 on Sunday. Crystal Allen hit a game-winning 3-pointer with seven seconds on the clock to win the game. SMU's 3-point attempt at the buzzer bounced off the rim.
- UTA, receiving votes in the USA Today Coaches' Poll, is back on the court on Friday when it takes on Fresno State at 2 p.m. at College Park Center. The contest is featured on ESPN3.
- Allen led a group of three in double figures with a game-high 18 points. Daiane Machado, playing in just her second game posted 10, while Shelby Richards scored 11.
- SMU outrebounded the Lady Mavs 50-27, including a 23-7 edge in offensive rebounds. However, the 23 rebounds only led to a 12-5 advantage in second-chance points.
- UTA's bench outscored SMU 24-23, the lone category UTA had an advantage in outside of the final score.
- SMU's leading scorer entering the day, Mckenzie Adams, was held to 1-of-14 shooting and just six points.
- Rebekah VanDijk grabbed a team-high nine rebounds.
- UTA shot 41.5 percent, while SMU hit at a 36.1 percent clip.
- UTA used a 14-7 fourth quarter to pull out the come-from-behind win, its first time this season trailing entering the fourth.
