ARLINGTON – The UT Arlington track and field team continues its outdoor season with the 94th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays, a four-day event that starts on Wednesday, March 22, and runs through Saturday, March 26 at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin.
The Mavericks will be featured in over 20 events in the four-day span as many national hopefuls will look to make their mark in one of the huge track and field events in the early part of the season.
The Longhorn Network will broadcast all four days of action with the following start times:
Wednesday: 6:30 PM (delay)
Thursday: 7 PM
Friday: 9:30 PM
Saturday: 1:30 PM

The heptathlon and decathlon will lead things off and Wednesday and will continue into Thursday. Most distance events will take place on Thursday evening, while the sprint prelims begin on Friday morning with finals scheduled for Saturday afternoon. Field events will be scattered from Thursday through Saturday throughout the week.

Arthur Petersen enters the event with the third-best throw in the country in the javelin at 73.36, while sophomore
Liv Cantby comes in with the 15th best throw on the women's side at 49.89. Junior
Joel Bengtsson has the fifth-fastest time in the nation in the 110 hurdles at 13.76, a mark he hit last week at TCU, while freshman
Iyana Gray, fresh off a PR last week, enters 12th in the country in the 100 meter dash at 11.43 as she continues her outstanding rookie season.
All-American seniors
Bryson DeBerry and
Jade Bontke will make their 2022 debut in their top events as DeBerry will go in the high jump while Bontke leads things off in the heptathlon. DeBerry, along with Petersen, both made the NCAA Outdoor Championships a season ago.
DeBerry, Bontke, and
Lucas Van Klaveren all made the NCAA Indoor Championships earlier this month.
