Prior to UTA: Helped lead Rockwall High School to back-to-back regional semifinal appearances...voted team MVP after hitting .367 his senior year...earned District 9-5A Defensive Player of the Year as a senior...selected as a second team all-area shortstop by the Dallas Morning News...garnered honorable mention all-district laurels as a shortstop his junior campaign ...member of the National Honor Society...graduated with honors...member of A/B Honor Roll...member of National Society of High School Scholars...also participated in basketball at RHS.

Personal: Son of Clarissa and Dennis Lewis...born March 16, 1985...father played at Tyler Junior College...undecided on a major at UTA.
