Prior to UTA: Hit .416 with six home runs and 33 RBIs at San Jacinto Junior College...also collected 33 doubles as a sophomore ...redshirted his freshman season at TCU...earned all-state, all-area and all-district accolades as a senior at Victoria HS...hit .443 with three home runs and 26 RBI...also played football at VHS.

Personal: Son of Peggy and Mike Macha...born June 25, 1982...father played for the Braves, Tigers and Blue Jays, while his brother, Erick, currently plays in the Yankees organization...a communications major at UTA.
