Prior to UTA: Team co-captain at Mesa Community College ...hit .305 as a sophomore after the league switched to wooden bats...hit .354 with nine doubles, two home runs and 32 RBIs as a freshman...all-conference catcher as a freshman...two-year member of the MCC honor roll...all-conference catcher as a senior at Sycamore High...earned all-conference honors as a right fielder as a junior ...played his first two years at Hiawatha High where he earned all-conference laurels as a catcher both years...voted team MVP as a sophomore...also competed in basketball and track.

Personal: Son of Teddie Sue Ryan and Skip Cox...born Feb. 26, 1982...a biology/pre-med major at UTA.
