HIGH SCHOOL: Was the 2014 Arizona state champion in the discus and the runner up in the shot put ... Was the state runner up in the shot put as a junior in 2013 ... Named all-state in 2013 and 2014 ... Named to the City of Chandler All-City Team in the shots put and discus each of his final two years ... Is the school-record holder in both the shot put (57-11) and discus (175-8) ... Voted his team's MVP as a senior ... Was tight end on his football team that won the 2012 state title and finished as state runner up in 2011 and 2013.
