SOPHOMORE YEAR (2015-16): Competed in the weight throw three times and the shot put once during the indoor year ... Had a season-best weight throw mark of 48-08 as he finished sixth at the Herm Wilson Invitational ... Participated in the discus at the SBC Outdoor Championships, placing 17th (142-11) ... Had a season-best discus throw of 143-02 at the John Jacobs Invitational ... Also competed in the hammer throw and shot put on the year.
FRESHMAN YEAR (2014-15): Placed 18th in the discus at the Sun Belt Outdoor Championships with a throw of 131-10 ... Had a best mark of 141-10 at the Bobcat Invitational ... Also threw the hammer, with a season-best of 131-02.
HIGH SCHOOL: Was the 2014 Class 4A TAPPS state champion in the discus with a throw of 157-11 ... Was the runner up in the discus and placed sixth in the shot put at the TAPPS 4A North Regional ... multi-year letterman in track and football.
PERSONAL: Sister, Whitley, competed on the UTA track team, also in throwing events.
