Biography

Former UTA standout Caitlyn Cooney is in her first season as the graduate assistant coach on J.T. Wenger's staff in 2017.

Cooney starred for the Mavs from 2012-15, leading the Mavs in digs for three consecutive seasons. In 2014, Cooney had 671 digs to rank second in UTA single-season history, also ranking fifth with 585 digs in 2013. She currently ranks fourth in UTA annals with 1,820 career digs.

Cooney, a native of Houston, played her high school volleyball at Jersey Village High School.
