Prior to UTA: Clay Silver finally wears a Maverick uniform after sitting out last season as a redshirt?matriculated to UTA last fall after a superb career at Forney High School in Forney, where he graduated in 2001...was an All-State second baseman as a junior... also earned All-District honors as a sophomore ...multi-sport standout at FHS participated in baseball, football, basketball, track and wrestling.

Personal: Son of Debbie and Steve Silver...born February 3, 1983...a business major at UTA.
